Just off Highway 101 in Redcrest, the Immortal Tree might just be the most durable tree in history. The 1,000-year-old giant coastal redwood has survived lightning, forest fires, the logger’s ax, and the devastating “Flood of 1964”, yet still lives to tell the tale.

In addition to the Immortal Tree, visitors will find the family owned and operated Burl n’ Drift Redwood Souvenir gift shop, Ancient Redwoods RV Park, plenty of picnic tables, and — Memorial Day through Labor Day — the “Hollow Log Truck,” an ancient redwood mounted onto the bed of a 1945 White open-cab fire engine.
